The master in economic development and growth (MEDEG) is a double degree programme that over the past five years has been offered as an EU sponsored Erasmus Mundus Master Course. With the admissions to the autumn semester 2015, MEDEG leaves its childhood and continues without the EU sponsorship. Some changes have been undertaken to further improve the esteemed quality of the programme. A hallmark of MEDEG is the personal contact with the professors. As a student, you choose for the first year between Universidad Carlos III de Madrid or University of Groningen, where you get training in economic and institutional analysis. The second year you specialize in development and growth issues at Lund University School of Economics and Management – where MEDEG is hosted by the well reputed Department of Economic History.
